about Andrew
Not many of you will know that I am an avid sportsmen. I am lucky in my job to talk about what I love, and have some fun along the way. As you will see by the following list, I have been involved in a variety of sports which I am extremely passionate about, and proud of the following achievements. CRICKET. 1994/95 Benalla All Blacks United, Section 1. “Runners up” 1996/97 Benalla Panthers Cricket Club, Section 1. “Premiers” 2000. Benalla & District Cricket Association Bendigo Country Week Runners-up.
FOOTBALL. 1999. Moyhu Football Club, Ovens & King League. 1st 18 Grand Final, Runners-up. MARATHON (42.195km) 1995. 3hrs, 28min, 56sec (Won U/18 category) On December the 1st, 1997, I took on the biggest challenge of my life. I had trained for 9 months to embark on an ultra marathon. The run was from the Melbourne CBD, to my home town of Benalla, a lazy 242km journey. With my trusty Mother and older sister as support crew, I set off. I completed the run over 4 days, averaging 60.5km a day. To this day it is my greatest achievement in sport. I raised $6,000 from the business and public sector of Benalla for their much needed, brand new Aquatic centre. |
